Indeed the Times Are Changing

In a meeting with colleagues in the book industry, the conversation moved to the increasing number of books being published each year – over 170,000 in the United States alone – and therefore how difficult it is today to have a good book stand out from the flock.

One person who has many years of publishing experience remarked, “There is truly nothing really new out there, nothing really new under the sun.” I listened at the time, politely saying nothing.

However, this statement comes out of the limited paradigm that we are currently moving beyond.
