Bizah’s Master ended his teaching that day as he had done before on other days.  He said, “Remember that even though I am the Master, I cannot teach you the Truth.  That you must come to on your own through your own direct experiences.  I can only point you to the treasure; you must be the one to go and find it. I can only give you signposts, pointers to the Truth.  And even these signposts are of no use to you unless you continue to follow in the direction they point you.”

It can be pretty frightening when you first begin questioning beliefs you’ve trusted in for many years. You can feel like you are coming apart at the seams.

Little by little as your old beliefs are dismanted, you probably adopt new beliefs. Not just about living a spiritual life, but also in terms of politics, science, and so forth. After all, it feels insecure not to have any beliefs.

My 7 year old grandson Brannoc asked me the other day, “If God made everything, then who made God?” I LOVE questions like this! Grinning, I cast inside for an answer he would understand. When you write for children, truth must be distilled to its purest essence so they get it!

I told him that a great question like his couldn’t be answered by the mind that thought it. It would require the language of his spirit and heart, that this God language would be something he would feel, not see. And if he got really quiet, he would feel the story of God and Brannoc going on.

Art Buck wrote, “At times it’s difficult to tell what generates the greatest woe: the truths of us told by a friend, or the lies of us told by a foe.”

A key characteristic of real connection in a friendship is that our friends tell us the truth about ourselves when we ask them.

This is important because our minds are selective in what they allow us to see or hear.

How else do we account for a mother who can sleep through a thunderstorm, yet awaken to the slightest peep from her baby?
