About Margaret
I was born in London, England to Irish parents and lived there until my early twenties. I traveled for a while in Italy mainly, and then ended up working in Jordan, in the middle east. I met my husband four days after arriving in Jordan and over the course of a few months we realized we liked each other and started dating. We were married three years later. We have three children, all at university now. My husband passed away with cancer on 14th February this year, after suffering for one year. It was cancer of the bile duct, which had already reached the liver when it was discovered. The week He passed away, unknown to me at the time, my sister was only just realizing that she also was very ill. She had sarcoma of the uterus. Ten days after my husband passed away I was on a plane to London to see my sister. When I arrived at the hospital she was already completely sedated and on a life support machine. The day after I arrived She had a cardiac arrest and her heart stopped beating for forty minutes, luckily for her a doctor saved her life at that stage. I returned back to Amman, Jordan for a few weeks and was forced to return to London urgently after three and a half weeks, this time my sister had been moved back to her house for her final days. I ended up getting stranded in |Vienna due to the volcanic ash, taking trains from Vienna, through Germany to France and finally the Euro Star train from Paris to London, arriving at my sister's bedside on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It was hard to believe and still is, that she was only going to be with us for a few more days - she passed away four days later. She has two daughters.
I am not sure I understand anything anymore. I am now back in Jordan, in a house filled with memories of a life I once had and I am not sure what, where I want. I am not sure how to move forward.
