Yantra

Inspired artworks and designs based on meditation. Based on sacred geometry, each yantra design contains a centre point or “dot” from which geometric shapes and designs radiate.  Traditionally, such symbols are used to balance the mind or focus it on spiritual concepts, and the act of meditating on a yantra is held to have spiritual benefits. They act as a portal, a passage to higher aspects of infinite consciousness.

traditional yantras made on copper plates are used for worship and meditation in vedic temples around the world. one such example is the sri yantra used in sri vidya puja or lakshmi puja. contemporary yantra designs are used for meditation and are often generated through the help of software programs. traditional and contemporary yantras can be very different in design but have the central focal point or bindu (dot) in common as well as the meditation aspect.
